You will need...
13 gallon CLEAN garbage can (Dollar General $6)
2 cups of Borax
Approx. 1 cup of Baking Soda (or 1 box is fine)
1 bar of Ivory Soap
Step 1:
Use cheese grater or finely chop the bar of ivory soap
Step 2:
In a medium pan boil approx 4-5 cups of water.
Step 3:
Once water is boiling, add chopped soap.. Stir frequently until all soap is dissolved.
Step 4:
Add Dissolved Soap Mixture, Borax & Baking Soda to the 13 gallon can and fill with HOT water! Mix well!
Step5:
Let set minimum of 12 hrs (Overnight) -This setting process lets the soap thicken
*Please Note-Soap will NOT be thick like store bought soap, it will be watery*
Step 6:
Use 1 cup of soap per load.. yes, only 1 cup!
*Please Note-it will NOT bubble like store bought soap*
Optional:
- Add a splash of white vinager into washer to help remove moldy/musky scents
- Add a splash of lemon juice into washer to remove kitchen/food grease stains & scents
